Who We Are

 Who Are We?

In the summer of 1985, Moby Pendergrass went to work for his father's company, A Place In The Sun Log Homes.   He began learning and mastering the centuries old tradition of Scandinavian hand scribe log home building.

Moby honed his craft on projects such as Flying M Ranch in Yamhill, Oregon and the Governor Oswald West cabin in Cannon Beach.  When Dad retired in 2001, Moby carried on the tradition as Sunset Log Homes of Oregon and continues to build and restore log homes and structures with the quality and ingenuity that our customers have come to appreciate.  Because of vast years of experience behind him, Moby has developed an understanding of how log homes in our area withstand the weather they are confronted with.  He knows the best ways to maintain homes and how to build them so they will last.  With our location in the same facility where it all started, in the beautiful coastal mountain range of Northwestern Oregon, Sunset Log Homes of Oregon holds a long history in the Pacific Northwest.

We call our facility "The Yard".
